It is the fourteenth year of Meiji; Himura Kenshin and company have just returned to Tokyo from Kyoto and the fight against Shishio Makoto and the Juppongatana. Kenshin has finally mastered Hiten Mitsurugi Ryou, thanks to Hiko Seijurou, but a heavy burden lies over his heart.

In the struggle to keep Shishio, the demon born from the flames of the Bakumatsu, from taking over Japan, Kenshin has come face to face with his own crimes as a hitokiri. His path so far has been to wield his sakabatou in order to defend the helpless - but how must one atone for countless murders in the name of justice and the new era? How can one atone for not being able to protect the one most loved? Whatever the answer, Kenshin must find a way before his crimes catch up to him and involve the loved ones of the present.

"Overture to Redemption" was constructed specifically to support any and all pairings of the popular manga, Rurouni Kenshin. We are a canon based forum consisting of both dedicated and talented role-players who are all up to date on the recent volumes of Nobuhiro Watsuki's work.
